About Me

Patricia Horal focuses her practice on appeals, criminal defense, family law, civil rights, and sexual harassment cases in Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties. Patricia was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2007 and the State Bar of Texas in 2009. Prior to joining the firm, Patricia represented special investigation units of property insurance companies in relation to suspicious fire, theft, and water loss claims throughout Florida. She also litigated first-party property insurance defense cases and subrogation cases involving products liability, construction defects, negligence, and intentional torts.
 
Patricia was previously employed by the Honorable Joseph J. Lewis, Jr., as his staff attorney at the 1st District Court of Appeal. In that position, Patricia drafted opinions, issued recommended holdings, and analyzed cases involving a wide variety of complex criminal and civil issues. Patricia’s experience at the appellate court gives her a unique, insider’s perspective regarding the issues judges focus on when rendering decisions.
 
Patricia graduated magna cum laude in the top 3% of her class from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2007. While in law school, Patricia was a staff editor on law review and won several state, national, and international moot court awards for brief writing and oral advocacy. Patricia also served as an intern for federal judge Timothy J. Corrigan at the District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
 
Patricia graduated from Siena Heights University with a B.S. in Business Administration, magna cum laude, in 2004. During college, Patricia played varsity volleyball all four years and was voted team captain and “Most Valuable” player in 2003. She was an Academic All-American in 2002 and 2003 and made “All-Conference” in 2002 and 2003. Patricia also received the Thomas Emmitt Award in 2003, which is Awarded to the university’s top female student athlete across all sports.
